Stupid Argument In Applebee's Parking Lot, Faith In Humanity Lost

This is the perfect convective storm of douchebags colliding. Alright, so idiot number one tries to video-shame idiot number two for asshat parking. Some NSFW language happens, then idiot number three gets involved. This is quintessential facepalming, in video form.

Is anyone else surprised this happened in an Applebee's parking lot? I didn't think so. Does this even count as attempted vehicular manslaughter? Geez, idiots. Just watching this failure of modern man makes me want to go read a book. Or continue browsing Oppositelock, also an intellectually productive activity.

Happy Saturday, everyone.

If the video douche would have just ignored it, there never would have been an incident. Pointing out douchiness while being a douche yourself is never productive. He's lucky he didn't get his ass beat. Keep it up and he will eventually get his ass beat. I learned a long time ago that it's just not worth even engaging a Douche Bro in any kind of conversation.

Wrong, the videographer had every right to reprimand the stupid driver #1 with the bicycles. Maybe he won't park like an ass next time. Also, the other idiot #2 with the bikes on top actually risked going to jail for assault with a vehicle. Driver #1 could have apologized and left it at that instead of cursing and looking like a fool. Driver #2 with the BMW reaffirms all BMW drivers are Asshats theory.

I agree, but I think the camera played a role in provoking the asshole bikers. Filming them seemed like an overreaction from the start. The guy filming probably wouldn't have gotten that reaction if he had just asked them to move without filming them. Like you said, stupid driver #1 could have just apologized. Then camera guy would look a little bit like a jerk. Camera guy probably had no idea they would behave that way.

But, of course, if stupid driver #1 didn't want to be bothered, he shouldn't have parked like an asshat.

In order of douchebaggery:

1) BMW driver

2) Videographer

3) Ford driver

Kinja'd!!!1

I think I'd rank them as follows:

1) BMW driver - Illegal behavior

2) Ford driver - Asshat parking, no remorse

3) Videographer - Filming someone who potentially could have just responded with "whoops, my bad. I'll move now, sorry" and then the only douche would be the videographer

Photography is not a crime, you are free to video anyone in a public space, just check out the thousands of Youtube videos out there. People today should be aware that just about everything you do could be recorded by a camera somewhere. This video just shows the bad manners people have today. Check out "Honoryouroath" and Photography is not a crime" on Youtube, you will see far worse reactions by the police and general public.

The Ford driver was trying to protect his bikes from getting damaged by another car in the parking lot. I can understand that. Let's be real, the videographer has some issues for deeming it necessary to film something like this in the first place, let alone say something to the guy. He was clearly looking for a problem.

Well as far as crime is concerned, the only criminal here is the BMW driver.

The videographer would have been better off giving the Ford driver the benefit of the doubt that he make a mistake, rather than start filming him with the assumption that it was intentional.

And as for police reactions to being filmed in public, I've seen plenty of videos that makes my blood boil. It pisses me off pretty bad when they try to claim it breaks wiretapping laws.

As soon as I saw the bicycles and that it was an Applebee's parking lot it all just seemed to fit. This is a perfect representation of why most people don't like selfish cyclists around here and for some reason Applebees attract douches at an abnormal rate (I even once saw a trashy drunk chick beating an elderly man with a flip flop at one as I was waiting at a stop light).

I run into this kind of strange unjustifiably self righteousness attitude from yuppie cyclists a lot and it reminds me of a story from not long ago. A cyclist rode right through a stop sigh into a highway in front of a group of motorcyclists I was with nearly causing a crash. When confronted he actually tried to say he was going to call the cops on the guys on the lead motorcycles because they should have known he wasn't going to stop at the stop sign and that bicycles are "like pedestrians and don't have to follow road laws" and thus should have slowed down and made more room for him. I couldn't figure out if I should be laughing or raging incoherently. We ended up reporting him to the cops and calling it a day.

Guy with the camera is a fucking cock - hope he fucks with the wrong guy and wins himself a free trip to the hospital. So some guy parked his bike on the sidewalk...mildly annoying if walking, but this cock is inviting and instigating conflict.

The video guy is a tool.

However, the parking guy parked too far back & blocked the sidewalk. When called on his shitty behavior (in a shitty way) he acted like a dick.

The BMW guy should be in jail.

However, all of them lose, for eating at that shithole. They are all fucking morons for eating at Applebees. The BMW had California plates. If he was in state, he was statistically within 1/4 mile of good food.

Fucking BINGO! Jesus H. Asshole, but DON'T BLOCK SIDEWALKS WITH CARS is a pretty basic rule of vehicle-ing. And yeah, the videographer DID need a camera - it;s what allowed him to capture irrefutable evidence of felonious assault with a deadly weapon by the aggrieved Viagra model in the BMW.

Fair enough but if someone came up to me and said that, Id be like oh i'm sorry dude, and I'd move the car and not make a big fuss. Whats moving your car like 2 feet forward to make someone happy? A real idiot is the woman who had a stroller in front of her standing beside my motorcycle as I was walking toward it putting my helmet on. As I started the bike and then started to put my gloves on, she yelled "can't you see I have a baby here?" and started yelling about the fumes etc. I told her then she should stand aside, got on, and roared off

Although the Ford driver didn't explain himself very well, I think he did an acceptable job of parking the way he did. The bikes didn't interfere with parking lot traffic, and could be easily hit by a passing car since they don't have reflectors on them in a way that makes them stand out. A small chance, to be sure, but I'd hate to be the one that did it. Without seeing the lot I don't know if there were better options.

I don't care too much about his bikes, but I do care about my car.
